Atomic Away Day – Acrobatic Style

Last week marked the annual Atomic team away day, and we couldn’t have picked a better day for it.

With the sun shining we logged off early afternoon (after a planning meeting over lunch on our office balcony) and headed to the National Centre for Circus Arts for some team bonding – acrobat style.

Approved under the guise of being good for bonding, learning new skills, facing fears and pushing us out of our comfort zones, we enjoyed a 2.5 hour session that involved juggling (far more fun than expected), tightrope walking (far more difficult than expected) and flying trapeze (just as scary as expected).

Assigned random teams and made to work together to develop our skills, we took on the various activities together in style, with some more successful than others, as the photos below show (!)

After working up a sweat we rewarded ourselves with drinks and nibbles (36 sliders, to be precise) at the nearby Electricity Showrooms and finished the night in true Atomic style – with press ups, shots and McDonald’s at the station.

All in all, a big success.
