The Atomic team rolled their sleeves up for charity earlier this month and helped BGC Partners host its annual BGC Charity Day – a star-studded event that has so far raised over $137 million for charities around the world.
Set up to commemorate the 719 friends and colleagues the financial brokerage lost in the tragic events in New York in 2001, the event promises 100% of the revenues raised on the day will be donated to charity.
The team headed to Canary Wharf in the early hours of September 11 to see a selection of lucky charities and their celebrity ambassadors hit the BGC trading floor to try their hand at trading.
With Kiera Knightley, Danny DeVito, Sir Alex Ferguson, Cheryl and many more A-listers giving up their time to raise money, the day was full of stellar moments, heartfelt stories and uplifting moments of human kindness.
Managing media with the military precision that Alastair Campbell would be proud of, the Atomic team ensured the day ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all involved.
Achieving over 200,000 #BGCCharityDay social engagements and hitting all of the national papers that evening and the following morning, the day was a huge success and certainly worth the aching feet and legs.
In true Atomic style, we finished the day in Big Easy with unlimited ribs and Steins all round!
